We have years of combined experience in the construction and home building industries learning every part of a house there is to know about. In addition, we’ve received certifications from the top home inspection association in the world.
During my railroad career, my daily tasks required inspecting locomotives per company and federal regulations. Later, I also served as a safety coordinator for my company and labor organization, which involved inspecting customers’ facilities to ensure safe and efficient operations. Both roles required meticulous attention to detail to ensure safety. In 2015, my team was awarded a CSX Transportation Service Star award for delivering safe and reliable service that contributed to a $20 million yearly revenue increase.
After retiring from CSX Transportation in 2016, I returned to UNCP to study computer science and math, which led to a secondary math teaching position. I taught for three and a half years and earned my NC teaching certification in 2025. This experience strengthened my communication and time management skills.
These are the skills and experience I bring to the home inspection business. I completed 200 hours of classroom and field training through Inspection Certification Associates and passed both the NC Home Inspector Exam and the National Home Inspectors Exam. I am currently pursuing additional certifications to better serve each client’s needs through Sigma Home Inspection Services, LLC. I understand the stress of purchasing a home—my current home is my sixth—and I aim to make your inspection detailed and thorough, with no surprises.
